EVENT DESCRIPTION
Preparation for the International Fair begins at the beginning of the month of September. Each class has an assigned country to represent. The entire month is spent learning about the showcased country and preparing for the fair. Regular Social Studies textbooks are not used. Students should learn about all aspects of the country and decorate the room with paraphernalia from or about the country. Try to enlist parents, or friends from the given country, to assist in the study of it and the preparation of the presentation. A key to the success of the event is parents’ cooperation by providing information, typical items from the country, along with their willingness to help teach about that country.
