EVENT DESCRIPTION
During the month of April students write poetry. All students from third through 12th are required to enter a poem in the contest. The poems can be about any theme. Teachers revise the poems and make sure they are written using correct form. This is a special time to share poetry in the classroom. The winner of each division has his/her poem printed on a plaque and is announced at the Awards Ceremony.
EVENT CONTENT
- In the elementary, the poems are collected by the teacher, retyped without the student’s name, and turned into the Director and the principal at the end of April beginning of May, the exact date will be announced in teachers meeting.
- In the upper school, the literature teacher should collect the poems electronically so that they can be submitted without the student’s names to the Director at the end of April beginning of May, the exact date will be announced in teachers meeting.
