- Upper School Curriculum
The Upper School curriculum follows a standard U.S. course sequence that emphasizes reading, writing, mathematics, and critical thinking skills. Coursework is rigorous and designed to prepare students with the skills they need to succeed in college. Curriculum instruction is typically in English, except for courses in foreign languages and orchestra.
Equity American School offers flexible learning plans for students including auxiliary math taught by Mr. Luís Solorzano and English as a foreign language (EFL) through Ms. Julia León.
Academic rigor is a Core Value at Equity American School. Our upper school coursework is designed to be challenging to prepare students for college. Although we do not offer AP courses, our classes are the equivalent of honors courses in most school systems. Three of our courses are designated Honors courses- 11th grade Physics, 12th grade Calculus, and 12th grade U.S. Government and Politics.
